Answer
Hi, Armando,

Your female is laying infertile eggs as a result of hormonal activity.  No, a female and another female cannot mate and produce viable eggs.  Birds often do not start incubating their eggs until the second egg is laid.  However, this bird knows she hasn't mated, knows these eggs won't hatch, and may not incubate them at all...most do, but some don't.  Won't do any good to keep the eggs warm as they won't hatch anyway.  Just leave them where they have been laid...she may lay more...and let her abandon them in her own time.  Once she abandons them completely, remove and destroy the eggs.  Remove any nesting box or they will continue to lay and lay eggs.  Nesting boxes should only be used when you want a true pair of birds to lay viable eggs and produce offspring.  Birds don't need nesting boxes for any other reason.

Expertise

I`ve been raising/breeding/handfeeding/selling parrots for over 20 years (parakeets/budgies, cockatiels, 6 subspecies of conures, parrotlets, amazons, lovebirds, etc.). I've been published in "Budgies" and "Cockatiels" offered by Bow Tie Productions, and have written avian articles for publication in England. I can provide advice in raising healthy birds, handfeeding/weaning babies, some health problems (although I'm NOT an avian veterinarian), nail/beak/wing clipping, general husbandry, etc. I also have experience with racing/showing homing pigeons. I cannot diagnose specific illness over this website. If you suspect your bird is ill or if you have an emergency, contact an avian veterinarian or emergency pet clinic ASAP.
