i have four parkeets that were given to me along with what i now know is a breeding box. there as been some action and apreears i might have babies sometime. how should i perpare for this start to finish. Thank you for help

Hi, Andy.  Thanks for posting!

First of all, you need to make a decision as to whether you want pet birds or whether you want to breed these birds.  Just because "there has been some action," doesn't mean you have to allow these birds to breed.  You evidently aren't knowledgeable enough to take on this enormous task, therefore, I recommend you not breed your birds until you acquire some more knowledge.  There are many things you need to learn BEFORE you allow your birds to breed.  I couldn't possibly tell you everything you need to know via this website.  Parakeets shouldn't be allowed to mate/breed until they are at least 12 months of age...do you know how old your birds are?  Do you know their sexes?  Are any pair-bonded?  Are these birds on a proper, healthy diet?  In addition, when you want to allow them to breed, you would need to separate the 2 pairs into individual breeding cages...I do not recommend keeping 2 pairs in a single cage.
