Birth Control/Yaz

Question
I'm taking birth control pills, and I know you're supposed to take them at the same time every day, but my question is, does "same time" mean within the same minute, 5 minute, or ten minute period? Just a little confused :P

Answer
Hi Britney,

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so please check with your own physician. As far as I know, it is best to take your pills at approximately the same time every day. Just take them as close to the time as possible.
One article I read said that if you take your pill over 3 hours before or after the regular time, you are not fully protected. I don't usually recommend any kind of hormonal birth control methods. If you want more info, just email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
