Question
OKAY I WAS ON BIRTH CONTROL PILLS...BUT I GOT OFF OF THEM BECAUSE THE ONES I WAS TAKING WAS MAKING ME SICK. SO THE DOCTOR GIVE ME SOME NEW ONES...I HAVEN'T START TAKING THOSE YET...AND I HAVEN'T HAD A PERIOD IN 2 MONTHS SINCE I STOP TAKING THEM...I WAS HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX...SO I DON'T KNOW IF IBM PREGNANT OR NOT..SO WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO?

Answer
Hi Cecilia,

You should take a home pregnancy test to determine whether or not you are pregnant. If you had sex while not on the pill then there is a chance you are pregnant. However, your lack of periods may be due to your body adjusting to being off the pill. Since you have not had a period in 2 months, I recommend you give your doctor or a health clinic a call for advice, even if the pregnancy test is negative. they can also discuss non-hormonal methods of birth control if you no longer want to take the pill.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions, let me know.
