Question
Hi, I have been on birth control for about 7 or 8 years and i had unprotected sex recently and i know for sure that my boyfriend was not able to pull out before ejaculating. Could i still get pregnant even though i have been on birth control for so long and will not know if i am pregnant or not harm the baby if i continue to take the birth control?

Answer
There is a small percentage of chance that you can get pregnant on the pill. I presume it is the pill but you didn't really say. If you think there is any chance that you are pregnant, if you have any symptoms, you should discontinue taking the pill. You usually can't get a good reading on a pregnancy test unless you miss your period.
At least on the ones that you can get at the pregnancy resource centers. If you want to get a free one at a local center, go to http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP. If you can't find one there, go to this website
