Birth Control/Loestrin and Reflux?

Question
I'm not a teen so let me know if you're not able to answer. I'm actually 41.

I'm feeling great on this Loestrin except for one thing.

I'm having trouble with indigestion. At first I thought I was having anxiety because I was all tight in my chest and feeling sort of short of breath (not effected by activity) A friend suggested it was reflux and Tums made it better for a little while.  It is sometimes hard to swallow food.  This all started within a day of starting the pill.  I've been taking it about a week.

I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or not. Should I see my GP for this problem or do you have suggestions?  The estrogen agrees with my temperament really well I just need to find a way to help my tummy. :)

Answer
There are always possible side effects of most hormonal birth control methods. I personally recommend more natural birth control methods (non-hormonal). Let me know how you're doing, you can email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com, so write soon. You could ask your doctor what he would suggest. He might be able to recommend something to help you with your present birth control or prescribe something else. Anyway, hope this helps and please email me.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
