Question
I just want to know that if your taking birth control and its the week to have your period and your taking the pills at the right time and everything..if your pregnant will you still bleed because of the pills or will the pregnancy stop the pills from making you have a period?

Answer
Hi Ashley,

If you are pregnant you will not have a period during the inactive week. However, women who are on the pill sometimes do not always have a period each month, so not getting a period is not a good indication of pregnancy when on the pill. If you have been taking the pill at the right time without any missed pills, a skipped period is most likely not due to pregnancy. If you do get a period, you are not pregnant.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.
