Question
I recently decided to get a birth control shot i knew there will be spotting but my have been going for a whole 9 days now and i just want to know is that normal or is it something i need to get checked out?

Answer
Hi Stacey,

Yes, the spotting is a normal side effect of the shot and can last for several days. It is from your body adjusting to the hormones. You should see reduced bleeding after your 3rd or 4th shot. While the spotting can be annoying if it lasts for days, it is not a cause for concern.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.
