Question
QUESTION: I start taking Diane 35 pills last Feb.2008 then i stopped July,2008..I wanted to know if it's possible for me to get pregnant again? and how soon it could be? I Had a D/C/ Miscarriage 4 times and the last time was March 2005.. I am now trying to get pregnant for the last 3 months..I am 30 years old now..Thank you very much.

ANSWER: Hi Janna,

It can take your body a few months to adjust to being off the pill. So it is possible that you did not ovulate the first months off the pill. Has your period returned to the cycle you had before going on the pill? If so, this is a good indication that you have started ovulating again. If not, then I would wait a few more months and keep trying. Ovulation should return to normal soon, if it hasn't already. If in a few month, you are still concerned, give your doctor a call.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.

QUESTION: I have 35 days cycle before i start the pills then it turns 25 days while taking it and when i stopped the pills my cycle haven't back to my normal 35 days cycle, it is always delay.. i can feel like I'm not ovulating at all after i stopped the pill..I'm just a little confused and thanks for your quick response...

Answer
Hi Janna,

It's been 3-4 months since you stopped the pill, so it is very possible you did not ovulate during that time. However, you should start ovulating within the next couple of months.

It takes an average of 5 months to become pregnant. 85% of couples who are trying to become pregnant will do so after one year, but it can take up to a year to achieve that. It does not sound like you had problems with ovulation before starting the pill, so you should not have any problems now. I know it can be difficult to wait, but I think you may need to just give it some more time.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.
