Question
hi there i had my merina coil removed on the 31st of october, i was having some small spotting a few days before it was taken out.i was told that there was a chance i could become fertile straight after so i bought an ovulating kit and tested a week later and it showed that i was ovulating. what are the chances of me falling pregnant at this stage. i only ask because i thought i would of had to wait to have a full period after the merina. also because im not sure when my period should be due cause of the merina i don't no how long i should wait to do a pregnancy test just incase i have hopefully conceived.

Answer
It's commonly recommended to wait for a regular period before getting pregnant after having a coil removed.  That's theoretically to give the uterine lining a chance to get back to normal.  However if you did ovulate and had sex at that time, you can become pregnant.  I would wait 3 weeks from when your ovulation test was positive.  If you're pregnant, the test should be positive then.
