Birth Control/possible pregnancy?

Question
I have been on birth control for 2 months. I have never missed a pill and have taken them between 10-11pm every night. I had unprotected intercourse with my boyfriend 2 days before my placebo pills (I am a sunday starter so unprotected intercourse happend friday night). I got my period wednesday morning but by thursday night it was over. From thursday night till now I have had to urinate frequently. Could I be pregnant? I have read somewhere that a one day period could mean possible implantation. When would it be a proper time to do a pregnacy test? Also, should I start my new pack this upcoming sunday?

Answer
Hi Maggie,
Birth control periods cause lighter periods, and this is probably what has happened in your case.  The frequent urination could possibly be from a urinary tract infection or something else.  However, women occasionally do get pregnant on the pill.  A pregnancy test will usually be positive 2 weeks after the day a person gets pregnant.  I would start the new pack on Sunday as usual.
