Birth Control/Chances of getting pregnant

Question
I started taking Loestin Fe 24 around November and I had sex for the first time in October. I have gotten my period since but I still feel like there could be a chance that I mite be pregnant because I wasn't on it when I had sex. And it was unprotected. Do I have a good chance of being pregnant?

Answer
Hi Deanna,

If you have gotten your period after you had sex then you are not pregnant.

Some women may experience a light bleed or spotting at the beginning of their pregnancy, but this is not a period. If your period was lighter or more like spotting, and you were not yet on the pill, then you may want to consider a pregnancy test to be sure. Also, you may want to consider a test to just to ease your mind. But you are most likely not pregnant.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.
