Birth Control/Switching birth control pills temporarily

Question
I've been using Microgynon 30 for about a year, but due to circumstance, I have to use Yasmine for one month only, then switch back. Is this safe?

Answer
Hi Ayse,

Yes, this is safe to do. You may experience some side effects such as breakthrough bleeding since it is a different brand, but switching brands for a month is not harmful.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.
