Hi,
I am on the orthro tri cyclen lo birth control pill right now. My husband is coming home for Christmas and the day before he gets home i am supposed to start the green period pills. will i get pregnant if we have sex while im on my green pills? Also if yes could i just skip them this one time and just go to a new pack and start on the white pills? thank you so much.

Hi Michelle,
As long as you're taking the pill as directed (one daily) you're still protected during the week on the inactive green pills.  You could just skip them this month and go to a new pack.  If you do, you're a little more likely to spot or bleed, but you'll still be protected.
