Is it ok to take Plan B after sex even if I am already on birth control, specifically Nuvaring, just as an extra precautionary measure? My family has had a history if pregnancy even while on birth control.

Hi Christi,
It's ok to take Plan B even if you're on the pill or NuvaRing.  I'm not aware of any studies showing that it protects more than the ring alone, but since it's like an extra dose of progesterone similar to what is in the ring, it won't do any harm.
