Birth Control/birth control and plan b

Question
I started a new pack of pills on nov. 23... I had sex on nov. 29 and got nervous so I took the first plan b pill 32 hours later. Although I didnt skip any pills this month, last month I missed a couple... the last couple of days my stomach has been feeling REALLY strange and sick.. It's never felt like this. I don't know if its stress related or because of the high dose of hormones, but should I be worried about pregnancy??

Answer
Hi Eryn,
Birth control pills are very effective if taken as prescribed.  Taking Plan B on top of birth control pills is like taking extra birth control pills.  I'm not sure if it adds anything, and may have side effects.  Most likely how you are feeling is related to stress.  Although it's possible to get pregnant on the pill, it's very unlikely unless you miss pills (missing pills last month doesn't count).  If your period doesn't come when it should, I'd get a pregnancy test.
