Question
Hi,
I have been on birth control for almost 3 months and I recently had sex with out protection for the first time and I missed the pill the day of and the day after. Is it possible that I am pregnant? My body doesn't feel the same way it use to so im sorta worried that i might be. Are there any symptoms that would be able for me to notice so i will know if i am pregnant or not? should i stop taking the pill until i find out for sure because if i am i don't want to kill or harm my baby? please help me

Answer
HI Keisha,

Thanks for your question! I'm not a medical doctor so please check with your physician. It's possible that you could be pregnant. You can get pregnant with or without using birth control. The usual symptoms of pregnancy are missed period, nausea, fatigue, bloating, frequent urination and tender or swollen breasts. I would recommend that you get a pregnancy test. You can call 1-800-395-HELP or go to http://www.optionline.org to find a free pregnancy center in your area. They could tell you when you could get a test. I would agree with you that it might be an option to go off the pill just in case. That is a decision that you will have to make. I'd love for you to email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and let me know what happens.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
