Birth Control/first time on bc

Question
I never got my period yet this month although I'm suppose to get it around the mid 20's. I just started to take bc today and I'm worried that it'll stop my period and I'll think that it's cause I'm pregnant. If I'm not, will I get my period soon or will the birth control delay my period, even though today was the first time I took it

Answer
Hello and thanks for your question. I would advise you to get a pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant. Please tell me what has happened in the last couple of days since you asked me the question. You can ask me a followup question or email me privately at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com to talk more. It's not good to take birth control pills if you are pregnant. So let me know. Also, you may ask your doctor or go to http://www.optionline.org to find a pregnancy testing center in your area. That site will help you find a free test or call 1-800-395-HELP. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
