Birth Control/will I get my period back?

Question
I have been on depo provera on and off since I was 16, I am now 25.  This last time I have been on it for about 4 years consistently, I discontinued use as of January of '08.  My cycle still has not returned.  I have one child and would like to have another in a year of two, when my son starts school.  But I am worried that I may not have that chance.  Can depo completely make your cycle disappear forever?  Or will it come back in time?

Answer
Hi Jennifer,

I think you should get your period back eventually. I'm not a medical doctor so I urge you to consult your physician. From what I have read, sometimes you don't have a period for a while after going off. I hope all goes well with you. Please email me anytime at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and tell me how you are doing.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
