Question
hi i had a miscarriage and a d&c in august of 07. i started taking bc pills again on dec 16th so for about 5 months now. on the 29th of april i started my period and on the 4th-6th i forgot my pills. on the 7th i started to take them again but just like normal i did not double up on pills. i had sex on the 9th and 10th when my boyfriend came back from being out to sea for almost 3 weeks. i had sex again on the 16th and 17th and then again on the 20th. what are the odds of getting pregnant with missing these 3 pills? thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Sarah,

There is a possibility of pregnancy but I can't tell you the chances. I recommend you getting a pregnancy test. You can get a free one at a pregnancy resource center. To find one either call 1-800-395-HELP or go online to http://www.optionline.org
If you are not in U.S. then go to this website http://www.heartbeatinternational.org/worldwide_directory.asp
It would depend on when you ovulated and when you had sex to determine chances of pregnancy. So you didn't take the 3 pills at all?
Hope this helps and you may email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and let me know what happens.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
