Question
Hi, i start birth control about 2 and a half months ago, and i just recently switched my birth control to YAZ and i was wondering if i have to wait a full month to be 99% protected.

Answer
Hi Briana,

I'm not a medical doctor so please check with your own physician. I don't think it will be a major change if you go right from one brand to another brand. You might want to be cautious though. Actually I just read an article which stated that the pill is only 92%-97% safe from pregnancy. I don't recommend the pill myself because I don't think the hormones are healthy for a woman's body. I prefer a natural method of birth control (non-hormonal) or abstinence 100% effective.
I hope this helps and if you ever need to talk to me more, you can email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com anytime.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
