Birth Control/Aviane & Endometriosis

Question
Hi! I started taking aviane about a month ago & im done with my reminder pills & im only spotting. I was diagnosed with endometriosis about a year and a half ago & figured birth control would be my only help. Unfortunately im not happy with the aviane. Its making me very angry. I flip out over the stupidest things & it making me feel depressed. I was diagnosed with depression probably about 5 years ago so i don't need to take a pill that's going to increase those feelings. Also my sex drive is very low & driving me crazy. Is there a better pill that you could suggest?
Thanks So Much
Monica

Answer
Monica,

There are so many different variations of the birth control pill, its hard to figure out which one would have the least side effects. Each kind has similar side effects, however, so I really wouldn't be able to tell you specifically which kind would be least likely to cause mood swings. My only suggestion would be to find a low-dose version. I would suggest talking to your doctor, and he/she would be best able to judge which type would work best for you, based on your medical history.

Thank you for the question, and I apologize for my late response, my computer was down all weekend!
