Question
HI
I'd like to know if you could please help me. I have been on Yasmin for just more then a year. Yesterday i started my new set of pills. The pills i use to buy were the 28 pills package. However i was only able to buy the 21 pill package (no inactive pills, this is new for me).
I started the new pack with an active pill for Monday. However after taking it i realized that i made a big mistake, and that i wasn't meant to take any pills because i am still meant to be on the inactive stage (3rd day-Monday. Today will be the 4th day Tuesday). This has never happened to me before. I'd like to know what i should do now. Am i need great risk of getting pregnant?

Waiting for your advice.
Thank-you.

Answer
Misaki,

If you start your pills without going through an inactive phase, you'll be fine. What will happen though, is that most likely you will not have a period. Some women actually purposely skip their inactive pills and go straight to their active pills to purposely skip their periods. I do this once in a while with my birth control as well, if my period is going to be arriving at an inconvenient time, like while camping for example.

Just keep taking them as usual, and don't worry if you miss your period. You are not at any extra risk of getting pregnant.

Hope I could help,

Lyndsay
