Birth Control/mirena iud

Question
hi,
i am a first time birth control user who just had a child 2.5months ago. my
husband and i are young and would like a convienant birth control method
that does not affect my body (i don't do to well with hormones). i just got the
mirena iud, but found HORROR STORY AFTER HORROR STORY online about
weight gain and mood alteration with mirena. i am 23 and do not want to
screw my hormones up, i still have baby weight to lose HELP!~
