Hello.  I am preparing to go to the OB-GYN for the first time in order to get checked over and get on birth control pills.  I was wondering if you can tell me which birth control pills are least likely to cause weight gain?  I know that the possibility is there with any sort of hormonal birth control, but have heard so much about Yaz and other pills, and so was curious and hoping you could enlighten me a bit!  Thank you so much!

Hi Nik,

I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control. Most pills can cause weight gain in some women. There are also other risks and side effects from any kind of pill or hormonal method.
