Question
Hi.Me and my boyfriend are planning to be sexually active, and we are planning to use the condom (him) and the pill (me) to prevent pregnancy and STD's . I want to know how effective can this be.
Thanks.

Answer
This should be somewhat effective but just to let you know, you still have a chance of getting pregnant. No one or two methods of birth control are 100% safe in preventing pregnancy. I would like to know your ages but in general, I don't advise being sexually active when you are single. There are Sexually transmitted diseases going around and of course the possibility of pregnancy. There is also emotional effects from being sexually active. Even with the condom and pill, they don't protect totally against STD's. I would recommend reading this article.
Depending on your age, of course. http://www.prolife.com/BOYFRNDS.html

Let me know what you think about this. My email address is DCHERYL51@yahoo.com so hope to hear from you soon.
