Birth Control/Skipped green pills to skip period

Question
I am getting married on October 4, 2008.  I miscalculated my period when picking the date, so I was slated to have my period the day of the wedding and the day after.  So, on a friends advice, I skipped the green pills to move my period up a week.  That was last month.  For almost three weeks straight now, I have had a thick brown discharge...and Im freaking out!  I dont know what to do.  Should I skip the green pills again, or not skip the green pills and just go back to normal hopefully?  It seems like this brown discharge just won't stop, I really dont want to have to deal with it on my wedding day and honeymoon!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Answer
Hello Jamie,

I wish you would have asked me before you skipped the pills. I don't recommend this at all. At this point, all I can say is that you need to consult your physician. I'm not a doctor but maybe you should go back to taking the pills the way it's instructed. Personally, I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control. This is an example of what can happen when you don't just go natural but put hormones into your body.
So anyway, is there any chance that you could go off hormonal birth control and just be natural for your body. Let me know what you think.
