Birth Control/effectiveness after first month on loestrin 24 fe

Question
I have been taking loestrin 24 fe for almost a month now so I am still on my first pill pack. I was wondering if I would be protected against pregnancy the first day after my inactive week of pills. I wasn't sure if you are still protected during the inactive week or if I would need to wait longer after the inactive week than the first day of my 2nd pill pack since i have only been on it for a month now. Would it be safe for me to have sex on the first day of the 2nd pill pack? Any information you could give me would be a great help. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Sarah,

You should be ok from what I've read. But the pill, even taken correctly long-term, is not 100% safe from pregnancy or STD's. Have you had any side effects from the pill. I don't recommend the pill because of the risks and side effects of hormonal birth control. I would really be interested in your experience after this month. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com

Thanks.
