Question
hey, im not on the birth control pill, but over a month ago i had unprotected sex a couple times. My friend told me to just take her last 3 pills the day after to try & decrease the chance of concieving. well, im 2 weeks late for my period now, but the urine tests ive taken have all come back negative. is it possible the pills delayed my period? the last test i took was 2 days ago.

Answer
Hello Lilly,

I know it's too late now, but something to remember for the future, it's NOT wise to take someone else's pills. You didn't have a doctor's advice and it's dangerous to take something not prescribed for you. Your body was not used to those hormones and so this is most likely changing your regular cycle. I would recommend that you go get a free pregnancy test at a pregnancy resource center. Look for one in your area on this website http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP. If you don't live in U.S. then go to this website

Please email me as soon as possible so we can talk more.

Sincerely,
