After roughly 5 months on birth control, I started experiencing extreme anxiety and being overly emotional. I have always been a very stable and intuitive person. About one month after it started, I made the connection and quit the NuvaRing. Its been two months and while my periods have been regular and the anxiety is a little less frequent, I'm still suffering quite a bit.  Have you had experience with women suffering anxiety both on and off birth control? I've read plenty that seem to have it either or but not both. And what time-frame should I expect for recovery?  Any insight would be very helpful.

Thanks for your question. I found a website where women are posting their problems with Nuva Ring. You will see that there are a lot of side effects from this. Here is the link

I can't really tell you when you might recover. I would suggest that you consult your doctor or give him the information from that website I listed. Yes, I have had a few women that suffered problems after abortion. I don't think I have heard back from any in particular about how they solved their problems. Do you have a regular physician?
