Birth Control/Worried

Question
I just finished my third cycle of Alesse. The past three weeks I have been very very exhausted and subject to horrible mood swings. What makes me especially worried is that its sunday (I'm going to start tri cyclen today) and I have not had my period yet. Should I be concerned?

Answer
Hi Kristen,

I really don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control. Over the years I have been studying this and I feel that hormonal birth control is unhealthy and can cause risks and side effects. Mood swings are one side effect that has been reported and there are many others. Probably your exhaustion but be one also. Also, your issue about period problems is somewhat commonly reported as well. I don't know if you already started taking the pill already but if you haven't, I would tell you to consider going off the pill and find some other method if possible. If you email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com we can talk more privately. Let me know what happens.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
