QuestionQUESTION: okay so I have been taking lutera for about two weeks and everyone keeps telling me that it's not a safe birth control to take. I am so confused because i really want to protect myself but I also want to protect my health. What are some good birth control pills???? and am I wrong about lutera???? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
ANSWER: Hi Irene,
I do not know why you are being told that Lutera is not safe. Lutera is a generic form of Alesse and has the same active hormones as Alesse. It carries the same benefits and risks as all birth control pills. Are you speaking to women who had bad side effects from Lutera? Individual women taking the same brand can have different experiences, so a brand that is good for one woman may not be the best for the other. I think it is fine to stick with this brand for the next 3 months or so and see how you do. If you experience side effects during those months that do not go away, or are too bad to handle, speak to your doctor about possibly switching brands.
I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.

QUESTION: I also wear contacts and I have noticed that my vision is a little blurry...should I still wait 3 months
AnswerHi Irene,
If you have noticed some blurred vision since going on the pill you should give your doctor a call, rather than wait. It is not necessarily anything serious but you should discuss it with him/her and possibly have it checked out.
I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.
