i fiited mirena coil in 2006 may 4 months after the birth of my baby. now it has been 2.5 years.........previosuly i had bleeing n regular menstruation but from april 07 they stopped then from oct 08 periods started suddenly. b4 periods i had cramps plus i had swollen painful breast with a liitle discharge form them. i took anitbiotic. then in nov again i got periods in time but before that 2 weeks i suffered from crapms. same happened in dec. now just after 16 17 days from the day i got my periods in dec i saw a spotting on panty. plus vaginal whitish discharge is more than normal plus cramps. plz tell is it all ok n normal  n nothing to worry about. ill be grateful to u.

Since you were having no trouble or bleeding for a long time, and now you're having these problems, something has changed.  The Mirena is the same, so something else is different.  It could be some change in your body or it could be something like an infection.  If you have had a new sexual partner I would suspect an STD.  If no new partner I would suspect something different in your body, perhaps development of small fibroid tumors.  If you have no new partner, I don't think it could be too serious and you might live with it.  On the other hand, it would be good to go in for a checkup.  If the symptoms continue you may want to have the Mirena removed and see if things clear up.  If your age is close to 40 I would go now for a check.
