Birth Control/provera

Question
Hey Norman, got another question for ya. I was put on Provera last month to bring on a period since I didn't have onr for 4 months after coming off the pill. Well I got a good 7 day heavy period. It's now exactly 28 days later and for the last 2 days now I have been experiencing a light brown discharge. It doesn't seem like it is going to turn into a normal red period. Can I consider this a period? What is causing this? Is it just my body getting back into the swing of things? My doc said any kind of flow at all is considered a period.

Answer
Hey Cat,
I wouldn't call it a period.  I think your body is taking a while to get back to normal after the pill.  Perhaps you haven't ovulated.  Time may take care of it, or you may need to take Provera periodically to bring on a period.  If you want to get pregnant there is medication to help with that.
