Question
Hello, I am 28 years old. I had a tubal done in 2003. The doctor burned my tubes. I wanted to know if I got a tubal reversal done what are the chances of me having a child. I want another child. Is that possible if they burned my tubes. thanks also do you know if insurance coves this

Answer
Hi Lauren,
It depends partly on how much of your tubes got burned.  It's possible there isn't much left of your tubes to do a reversal.  You could get an idea by asking the doctor who did the procedure.  Also, whereas it's a simple procedure to close the tubes, it's much more difficult to reverse it.  Insurance usually does not pay.
