Birth Control/irregular period and birth control

Question
Hello,
I'm eighteen and have been getting my period for awhile. I've always had irregular cycle times, spanding from getting my period every month to every five months at random, never a pattern in the cycles. I was wondering if birth controls would still be effective for me, and would I get my period during the placebo times?

Thanks so much in advance, sorry the backgroud info is so long!

Answer
Hi Jessica,

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical professional so I advise you to talk to your doctor if possible. I'm not sure if I would recommend birth control pills. In my estimation, they are too dangerous and possibly risks (long-term) and (short-term)
Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and we'll talk more. Hope to hear from you soon.
