Question hello, i'm hoping you can help me. i've been trying for hours to submit my question to a site but its always something. i need help really bad though, please. okay, i'm 19 & i started using birthcontrol 2 months ago. I originally started with Ortho tri-cyclen Lo because i didnt wasnt to gain weight, and loved it, no problems at all. Unfortunatley without insurance i can't afford it. So i switched to the generic brand (tri-Lo sprintec) & i am about to finish the pack in 2days & i have been having terrible mood swings and depression. i cry out of nowhere & sometimes for things that i would never have before. I am going through alot right now so i figured i'm just emotional but i've always had a rough life but i've never had this feeling before. Its kike a constant feeling of sadness. I hate it, but now i have to switch to tri-sprintec (reg) because tri-lo sprintec is still too expensive for me. will i have the same problems with tri-sprintec as i am with tri-Lo sprintec ? please help me.
Answer Hello Michelle,
I'm sorry to hear of your problems. Unfortunately, I have heard many reports of these symptoms from any kind of hormonal birth control pills. I'm surprised you didn't have any symptoms with your original pill. Do you need to be on birth control or is it possible that you really don't need to? Let me know more of your situation. If you like, you can email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line. We can talk more that way. Also, since I'm not a medical professional, I urge you to consult with a physician. Hope to hear from you soon.
