Birth Control/Melodene

Question
Hi there, I have been taking Melodene for a month now, will be starting the 2nd pack soon. I have read so much about the 7 day rule but no where does it say that one has to follow the 7 day rule for the start of each pack.
So every time that I start a Melodene pack must I follow the 7 day rule?

Hope you can help.
Thank you

Answer
I assume that the 7 day rule refers to waiting 7 days after starting the pill to be protected.  That only applies when you first start the pill.  From then on you're protected every day, including the 7 days you're off the pill or taking the placebo pills.  If you ever go more than 7 days without an active pill, then you lose protection.  I hope that's helpful.
