Birth Control/safe sex

Question
hi! good day!
i just want to ask when is the safe sex of a woman? as far as i know 7days before and after of the menstruation is the safe sexual interaction..

Answer
It depends on the woman.  If a woman has a very regular cycle which starts every 28 days, then she ovulates around day 14.  So she would be fairly safe from 7 days before menstruation starts until 7 days after the start (not the end).  However, most women are not that regular, and various things like stress can affect the cycle.  So if anything delayed ovulation, she might ovulate a week late.  This would cause her period to come a week late, and would mean she would be ovulating (fertile) one week before she thought her period would come.  So it works pretty good with perfectly regular cycles, meaning it's not a very effective method of birth control.
