Question
QUESTION: Iv been off birthcontrol for 3 to 4 months now...i dont have a period....so when will i know if im fertile? When Are the chances i can get pregnant?

ANSWER: Since you haven't had a period for 3-4 months, that probably means you haven't ovulated for 3-4 months.  You need to ovulate to get pregnant.  If your periods were regular before going on the pill, they usually go back to the same regularity when you stop.  You may want to see an OB/GYN doctor to find out if there is any reason why you're not ovulating, and perhaps take something to help you to ovulate.

QUESTION: I was on the birthcontrol shot..not the pill...and when i was on the shot i didnt have the period either...so i should ovulate some?

Answer
The depo shot takes about 6 months to get cleared out of your system.  Your periods and your fertility may come back soon, but it may take 6-12 months before you start ovulating and are fertile again.  You'll know when you start having periods again (unless you get pregnant with your first ovulation, in which case your period still won't come).  It's normal that you didn't have your period on the shot, and it just takes time for it to come back.
