Question I haven't had a depo shot since early Nov.'08. Me and my boyfriend had sex in Jan.'09 and it's now Feb'09. Is possibe for me to pregnant during this time if I've been having pregnancy symptoms?
Answer Hi Kiosha,
If your last shot was in early November then you are protected for the 12 weeks after that, which would be sometime in January. For example, if the shot was on Nov 2 you were protected until January 25. You can become pregnant after that time. However, it usually takes several months for your body to adjust, for periods to start, and for you to start ovulating again. It is very possible that the symptoms you are feeling are due to your body adjusting and not pregnancy, especially if oyu had sex while you were still protected. If you are concerned, you should take a pregnancy test to be sure.
I hope this helps. If you have further questions let me know.
