Question
Hey I started taking birth control pills for the very first time on the 5th day of
my period and had sex 3 days later , is there a chance I could be pregnet?

Answer
Hi Andrea,

It's possible because you might not have taken it long enough for the hormones to start working. I would recommend that you see if you miss your next period or start getting pregnancy symptoms and then get a free test if that happens. You can go to http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP to find a pregnancy resource center that gives the free pregnancy tests. You can also check out this website
http://www.heartbeatinternational.org/worldwide_directory.asp
Or you can write back and tell me where you live and I'll locate a center for you. Also, you may email me privately at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and we can talk more. Put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
