Question
I am on birth control and have not had a period in over 2 months. I have been having cramps as if I should be getting my period but end up not getting it. Plus when my boyfriend and I are sexually active we also use a condom. What are some reasons this could be happening?

Answer
Hi Karen,

You could either be pregnant or having something else causing your period to be late. About being sexually active, even if you use a condom, it is not 100% effective against pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases. Are you having any other pregnancy symptoms?

Please see your doctor or go to a local pregnancy resource center and take a free pregnancy test. You can find one here

Also, consider abstinence at this time in your life. If you want to talk more, email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
