Question
i have been on yazmine birth control for 6 days now for the first time in my life. i am 41 years old and was put on it to regulate my period. i have broken out with cysts on my face and want to stop taking them. should i stay on them and hope the acne goes away? i dont want it getting worse. but if stop will my period come again? and will this be the beginning of a new cycle all over again?

Answer
I would try to give the pills a little longer.  Yasmin is marketed especially for acne as well as birth control.  You seem to be having a very unusual reaction to it.  I think the cysts will go away with time, although there's no way to be sure.  If you stop you probably will have a mild period.  An alternative way would be to talk to your doctor and get a prescription for a different pill.  You could start taking the new pack at the same place you're in with the Yasmin.  Good luck.
