Birth Control/copper iud

Question
Hi there, I'm a sixteen year old female and i have had
toubles with oral contraceptives.  They make me very
depressed and i was looking for a non hormonal for of
birth control.  I recently looked up iuds and decided that
a copper iud would be a great option for me, but theres
a problem.  The sites i visited all said that iuds in teen and
women how have never given birth are more likely to
be expelled.  I was wondering how true this is, and what
the precentages are, thanks!

Answer
Hi Selena,

How are you doing? I don't really recommend the IUD because of all the risks and side effects. I really think it's so good for you to do the research on this and shows great maturity in your life. I agree with you about non-hormonal methods. However, is it really necessary for you to be on birth control at this time of your life. Have you considered abstinence for yourself? Let me know what you think. I would recommend this website http://www.teenbreaks.com-there is a lot of helpful information on there. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com because I would like to talk to you further. Put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
