Birth Control/I'm taking Jolessa birth control. I think I may be pregnant?

Question
I'm taking Jolessa. I started it one day late on Monday March 16th, I took the pill for Sunday and Monday on that Monday. I had unprotected sex that Saturday. My period was March 16-20. And with Jolessa you only have your period every three months. I've been having pregnancy symptoms, I just took a preggo test and it was negative, but I'm pretty sure it's too early for it to be a positive. Is it too early? And when should I take another test to be sure? Since I won't know if I miss my period or not for two more months.

Answer
Hi Nicky,

I don't know much about Jolessa but can research if for you if you like. My email address is DCHERYL51@yahoo.com if you want to email me privately so we can talk more.

I don't know how you would tell about a missed period if you don't have a period for 3 months. That sounds unhealthy to me. I don't recommend hormonal birth control methods anyway because of risks and side effects to a woman's health. It would probably be too early to have a correct pregnancy test.

Please consult your doctor or find a pregnancy resource center near you and perhaps they can advise you. To find a local pregnancy center go to http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP.

Please let me know what happens. The pregnancy centers usually give free pregnancy tests.
