Birth Control/Is my pregnancy at risk?

Question
I had Essure done 6 weeks ago and I just missed my period and took a birth control test that came out positive.  Is my baby in danger from the procedure that was done.  Do you know the chances of ectomic pregnancy or tubal pregnancy.

Answer
Hi Tiffany,

Until you sent this question, I really didn't now much about Essure which I have now done research about.  However, I don't feel qualified to answer these questions. I'm not sure if you meant that you had taken a birth control test or if you actually meant a positive pregnancy test.

I urge you to contact a doctor to find out about the chances of ectopic pregnancy or tubal. I would not go to the doctor who did the essure treatment. I would recommend a prolife doctor. You might be able to find a doctor by contacting your local pregnancy resource center. You can find one at http://www.optionline.org or call 1-800-395-HELP. If you can't find one there, then go to this helpful website
