Question
ive been on birthcontrol for the past year, and me & my boyfriend are finally ready to start a family. i stopped taking the pills about 2 days ago but when can i expect my  period? and can i get pregnant yet? please answer no else seems know the answer!

Answer
When you stop the pills you'll get your period.  The next period frequently comes late, often in 4-6 weeks.  Some doctors think it's best to wait until after that next period to get pregnant.  It's possible that you have an increased chance of miscarriage if you get pregnant sooner.  But I don't think anyone knows for sure.  For sure it's fine to get pregnant after that second period.  It's good to take a daily vitamin with folic acid when you're planning to get pregnant.  Good luck.
