Question
Hi there. i took my first control pills in early April on the first day of my period, and then i didnt stop bleeding throughout the 21 days of taking the pills. Hence, i stopped. After that, i was supposed to get my period 7 days after? I did not get my period until now which is mid may. Could i be pregnant? I used a pregnancy test and i showed up negative last week.

Answer
Hello Ju,
You're probably not pregnant.  The more breakthrough bleeding you have while taking the pill, the more chance that you won't get a withdrawal period when you stop the pill.  The bleeding you had probably means you had some buildup of the uterine lining before starting the pill (maybe you've had some heavy periods?).  It's likely that if you started the pill again with this period that you wouldn't have the same bleeding, or at least it would be less, and after another month there would no longer be bleeding on the pill.
