Birth Control/Do I need a higher dose of birth control

Question
I have been experience severe cramping immediately after my period (i.e. I stopped bleeding yesterday, and today I am taking Motrin to get through the day.) I have been diagnosed with endometriosis via exploratory surgery. I have been taking Tri-Sprintec as birth control for almost a year at the same time each day. However, six months ago I was still nursing. Is it possible I need a higher dose if birth control or could this cramping be a sign of something else altogether.

Answer
Hi Annabelle,

Thanks for your question. Please consult your doctor and I hope you already have. I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control including pills. I don't think that it is healthy for a woman's body in my opinion. I am not a doctor and so cannot give out medical advice. Please get this checked out. I would love to hear from you on what happens in your situation so please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com

Thanks.
